The unnamed golfer launched a shot into the rough at Shady Canyon Golf Course in California and on his ensuing attempt, his club chipped a rock and started a huge 12-acre blaze that took 150 firefighters to quash.
The fire burned through the rough, into vegetation next to the course and over two dry hillsides. No charges were filed.
